How it works...

Polycom systems can either be an ISDN or IP based system.

An IP system connects directly to other conferencing suites via IP mapping and you just pay your line rental, no additional charges per video call. The quality of the service is dependent on the quality of the DSL/broadband line.

On an ISDN based system, conferencing is more flexible as you pay your line rental and it's just like making a phone call. However, for companies wanting to make a lot of calls, this method can be expensive as there is a charge per call.

With both systems there is a multi point option and an option to use Visual Concert in video calls to share screens during your call.
